Contractor Safety Induction Pack

Contractor Requirements

All contractors undertaking work within the Sandspit Marina precinct (our Workplace), whether engaged directly by the Marina, vessel owner or by a berth user, must first be a registered Sandspit Marina Approved Contractor. This is initiated by completing the contractor application forms as below, along with providing copies of current Public Liability insurance certificates, for processing, assessment and approval. The required minimum insurance cover is either $5 million or $10 million based on the services provided and work location. The acceptable level of cover required is determined by the Marina Management. Please contact the Marina Manager to discuss or simply proceeded to make an application as below and we will contact you as required.

It is a requirement that all Contractors demonstrate competency, capability and commitment to Health & Safety in accordance with the current Health and Safety in Employment Act, Regulations, Codes and Standards and also operate within our Marina Rules & Code of Conduct.

This Safety Induction Pack allows Sandspit Marina management to assess your organisations commitment to workplace health and safety and to ensure you have the necessary systems in place to meet our required standards.  Consideration and registration as an Approved Contractor is solely at the  discretion of Marina Management and is subject to Sandspit Marina receiving the appropriate documentation and contractors proactively maintaining it annually.
